The MG J Type, a classic beauty of its time, was a force to be reckoned with in various trials and rallies during the 1930s. The sleek and powerful MG J2 model took on challenges like the MG Car Club Abingdon Trial/Rally in 1939, where it showcased its prowess on the rugged terrain. One such example was the MG J2 driven by J Sherwell-Cooper, leaving spectators awestruck as it conquered every obstacle with ease. Kenneth Evans also left his mark in the same event with his remarkable performance in another MG J2. The artist behind these breathtaking moments captured their essence perfectly, immortalizing them through their talent and brushstrokes. The Barnstaple Trial witnessed yet another triumph for this iconic car when PS Flower fearlessly maneuvered an MG J2 through its treacherous course in the mid-1930s. Bill Brunell's artistic skills brought this daring feat to life on canvas, showcasing both driver and machine at their finest. Motoring trophies adorned PS Flower's collection alongside an impressive MG J2 from the 1930s era - a testament to his skill and dedication to conquering new heights. JWS Utley proved that no challenge was too great for an MG J2 when he competed fiercely in the MCC Lands End Trial at Beggars Roost, Exmoor in 1933. This event pushed drivers' limits but couldn't dampen their spirits or deter them from achieving greatness. In another trial held that same year -the MCC Edinburgh Trial- Singer of J Selwyn demonstrated exceptional driving skills while navigating West Stonesdale within Yorkshire Dales using an extraordinary MG J2. Not far behind was RA MacDermid who showcased equal determination and finesse throughout this demanding competition. Brooklands became witness to exhilarating races during the prestigious JCC Members Day event of 1936.
